DGCs is a 5 year old payment system, backed 100% by precious metals, which acts as a secure currency over the Internet by allowing the inexpensive transfer of title to precise weights of physical metal (gold, silver, platinum, or palladium) from one account holder to another. The Financial Times has referred to DGCs as "the only electronic currency to achieve critical mass on the Web." DGCs is a bailey and contractually can never loan or obligate its customers' metal.
